On social media, there is a lot of public information shared that are used to connect people with one another. However, there is some information that people often wish to keep private, bookmarks being one of them. This raises the question, are X bookmarks public?

Yes and no.

The tweets that you bookmarks are only visible to you, but the bookmark count of a post remains public (alongside Likes, Views, Comments, Retweets). This count can be seen by anyone who has access to the post (original poster and the public).

Thankfully, X does not show who specifically bookmarked a tweet, but do keep in mind that other information such as your X lists, posts, and replies are all available to the public.
